Everyone who owns a laptop may want to upgrade his laptop memory.
Although the process isn't quite as easy as it is with a desktop PC, simply because there's a lot less space to work with, swapping the memory in your laptop and upgrading it with some faster sticks is easier than you think. So there's no need to be scared of that slab of plastic sitting in front of you, so as the HP laptop battery.
Laptop RAM slots are usually tucked away on the base. It's likely that there's a specific panel on it's underside that can be unscrewed to reveal just the memory, but if there isn't you might need to take the whole base panel off.
Even though you might only find a single slot; many laptops hide the second memory module on the opposite side of their motherboard, under the keyboard.
Use a small screwdriver to unlatch the clips around the edges of the keyboard, then lift it out to reveal the second slot. To remove a module and the HP laptop battery, pull the clips on either side outwards. The memory should pop up and can now be pulled out. To install a module, push it into the slot at a slight upward angle then press it down to click it into place.
